Fakta

Durian menyebabkan kenaikkan berat badan

Durian berukuran rata-rata 1 kg yang memiliki hampir 1.350 kalori, makan satu durian dapat menghasilkan 68 persen dari 2.000 kalori harian yang direkomendasikan.

Satu biji durian (sekitar 40 g) memiliki 54 kalori, makan durian terlalu banyak bisa menyebabkan kenaikkan berat badan.

Penderita diabetes tidak boleh makan durian

Jika Anda menderita diabetes dan harus membatasi asupan karbohidrat, Anda tidak boleh makan durian karena kandungan gulanya yang tinggi.

Mitos

Durian mengandung banyak kolesterol

Anggapan tersebut ternyata tidak benar. Durian malah menjadi salah satu buah yang non-kolesterol.

Kolesterol ditemukan dalam makanan yang mengandung lemak jenuh seperti daging merah, makanan laut, dan produk susu. 

Durian memiliki lemak tak jenuh tunggal yang justru akan menyehatkan jantung.

Durian meningkatkan libido

Tak ada hubungannya durian dengan libido seseorang. Durian bukan afrodisiak. Afrodisiak itu bisa meningkatkan gairah seksual, sementara durian tidak.
