Banyak orang yang akan menggunakannya untuk pengobatan tradisional.

Daun ini utamanya adalah digunakan untuk menyegarkan bau mulut.

Namun tak sedikit pula yang menggunakannya untuk membersihkan area kewanitaan.

Namun hal ini rupanya masih menjadi perdebatan di kalangan ahli kesehatan.

Jika digunakan terlalu sering, maka dapat menimbulkan berbagai dampak yang tak baik.

Dampak yang pertama adalah dapat membuat gatal di area kewanitaan.

Hal ini disebabkan karena air rebusan daun sirih yang digunakan belum tentu higenis.

Dampak kedua adalah meningkatkan risiko infeksi bakteri dan jamur.

Pada dasarnya area kewanitaan memang mengandung bakter dan jamur guna menjaga kesehatan organ.

Apabila terus menerus membasuhnya dengan air rebusan daun sirih maka kadar pH yang ada di area tersebut bisa berubah dan mempengaruhi kondisi bakteri dan jamur.

Dampak terakhir adalah alergi, tanpa disadari setiap orang memiliki sensitivitas yang tinggi terhadap bahan-bahan yang terkandung dalam air rebusan daun sirih.
