Sebuah penelitian menyebutkan bahwa kafein dapat mencegah reseptor otak untuk merespon situasi stres.

Itu berarti, para penggemar kopi atau orang yang sering mengonsumsi kafein tinggi mungkin lebih sulit untuk mengalami depresi atau mood yang buruk.

Penelitian yang diterbitkan oleh Archives of Internal Medicine menunjukkan bahwa orang yang mengonsumsi kopi dua atau tiga cangkir per hari dapat menurunkan risiko depresi hingga 15 persen.

Ada studi yang mengatakan bahwa meminum secangkir kopi pada pagi hari dapat menurunkan risiko diabetes.

Selain dapat melawan depresi, kopi diketahui juga memiliki beberapa manfaat lain seperti meningkatkan kesehatan jantung dan meningkatkan kekuatan otak.

Kopi juga diyakini dapat meningkatkan metabolisme dalam tubuh serta membantu terhindar dari kerusakan penglihatan mata yang disebabkan glukoma, penuaan, dan diabetes.
