1. Memberikan Efek Relaksasi

Manfaat sauna yang utama adalah memberikan efek relaksasi untuk tubuh.

Dalam ruangan panas tubuh akan berkeringat, melebarkan pembuluh darah dan melancarkan sirkulasi darah.

Dengan begitu otot akan mengendur dan tubuh menjadi lebih rileks.

Badan yang rileks bisa membantu mengurangi stres dan membuat tidur lebih nyenyak.

2. Mengurangi nyeri

Sauna juga dapat membantu melancarkan sirkulasi darah sehingga dapat membantu mengurangi ketegangan pada persendian dan dapat membantu meredakan ngeri otot.

Sehingga sauna akan cocok untuk seseorang penderita radang sendi.

Sebuah studi yang dilakukan pada penderita ankylosing spondylitis dan rheumatoid arthritis mengungkapkan bahwa terapi sauna selama empat minggu dapat membantu mengurangi nyeri, kaku otot, dan rasa lelah yang muncul.

3. Menjaga Kesehatan Jantung dan Pembuluh Darah

Sauna dapat menurunkan tekanan darah dan meningkatkan detak jantung yang efeknya sama dengan berolahraga ringan.

Manfaat sauna ini kemudian dikaitkan dengan masalah kematian akibat serangan jantung mendadak.

Meski begitu masih diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut lagi mengenai hal ini.
