Alasan Putih Telur Menjadi Sumber Protein Favorit Para Pegiat Fitness

Studi dalam journal of The International Society of Sports Nutrition menyebutkan, kebutuhan protein harian untuk "anak fitness" sekitar 1,6 gram hingga 2,2 gram per kilogram berat badan.

Banyak sumber protein yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk pembentukan otot dan banyak di antaranya berharga sangat murah.

Misalnya tempe, tahu, atau kacang tanah. Namun, dari sekian banyak sumber protein, putih telur ternyata menjadi favorit kebanyakan anak fitness.

Skor Indonesia merangkum beberapa alasan mengapa putih telur jadi sumber protein favorit anak fitness:

1. Harga Murah

Harga telur sendiri sangat murah di pasaran. Saat ini, telur ayam negeri dijual dengan harga Rp16 ribu hingga 18 ribu per kg.

Anak fitness juga bisa membeli putihnya saja yang dijual banyak pedagang kue. Satu plastik putih telur seberat 500 gram rata-rata dijual Rp8 ribu hingga Rp10 ribu.

2. Rendah Kalori

Putih telur diketahui memiliki kalori yang sangat rendah. Per 100 gramnya, putih telur hanya mengandung 51,6 kcal.

Putih telur tentu cocok untuk orang yang ingin menghilangkan lemak sekaligus membentuk otot.

3. Tinggi Protein

Memang hanya ada 11 gram protein dalam 100 gram putih telur. Namun yang perlu dicatat, semua orang pasti kuat memakan putih telur lebih dari 100 gram.

4. Bisa Diolah Berbagai Macam Hidangan

Putih telur sangat mudah dibuat berbagai macam hidangan. Bisa direbus, bisa ditumis, maupun direbus lalu diblender dan dicampur dengan whey protein.

Tips untuk membuat putih telur menjadi lezat adalah campurkan 150 gram putih telur dengan dua butir telur utuh. Kocok lalu dibuat telur orak-arik.
