Latihan keseimbangan perlu dilakukan oleh semua orang, khususnya para lansia atau lanjut usia.

Saat seseorang masih muda dan sehat keseimbangan muncul secara otomatis dari dalam tubuh.

Namun, seiring bertambahnya usia, refleks semakin lambat, otot melemah, dan pergerakan jadi kurang fleksibel yang mana berisiko lebih mudah jatuh.

Berikut, Skor.id merangkum sedikit beberapa gerakan yang dapat meningkatkan keseimbangan tubuh berdasarkan laman mejorconsalud.

Pertama, latihan keseimbangan bisa dilakukan dengan cara berjalan dengan bertumpu pada tumit.

Kedua, latihan keseimbangan tubuh bisa dilakukan dengan berjalan sambil mengangkat lutut secara bergantian pada setiap langkah. Anda bisa berpegangan pada pagar atau dinding jika masih kesulitan.

Ketiga, Anda juga bisa melatih keseimbangan tubuh dengan menempel pita atau plester di lantai sesuai lebar kaki Anda dan berjalan mengikuti jalur tersebut.

Selanjutnya, latihan keseimbangan juga bisa dilakukan dengan cara berdiri dengan satu kaki secara bergantian.

Kemudian, berjalan dengan menggerakkan kepala ke kiri, kanan, atas, dan bawah juga bisa melatih keseimbangan.

Sedangkan manfaat dari latihan keseimbangan di antaranya adalah meningkatkan koordinasi antar anggota tubuh, meningkatkan respon tubuh, serta mencegah cedera.
