1. Menjaga Kesehatan Pencernaan

Kurma rerata kaya akan serat tidak larut yang akan membantu memadatkan feses dan melancarkan pencernaan.

Memiliki sifat anti-radang dan protektif membuat kurma menjadi pilihan menu yang bagus ketika sedang berpuasa.

2. Memperkuat Tulang

Buah kurma sangat baik untuk menjaga kesehatan tulang dan mencegah osteoporosis atau tulang keropos.

Hal tersebut karena kandungan Vitamin K, selenium, dan magnesium yang terdapat dalam satu biji kurma.

 

3. Menangkal Radikal Bebas

Sifat antioksidan adalah tameng radikal bebas yang ditawarkan dalam buah kurma.

Antioksidan bekerja untuk melindungi sel dan jaringan tubuh dari risiko stres dan peradangan kronis.

4. Menjaga Kehamilan

Vitamin B9 atau biasa disebut asam folat dalam buah kurma sangat baik untuk menjaga kehamilan agar tetap sehat.

Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology merilis bahwa wanita hamil yang mengonsumsi enam buah kurma setiap hari selama empat pekan melahirkan normal dengan lebih lancar.

5. Menjaga Kesehatan Otak

Neural Degeneration Research pada 2016 menulis bahwa kurma berpotensi menghambat produksi protein pemicu peradangan otak bernama interleukin (IL-6).

Kurma juga bermanfaat mengurangi aktivitas protein beta amiloid, pembentuk plak yang mengganggu komunikasi sel saraf di otak.

Selain itu, buah kurma juga dipercaya dapat membantu menurunkan berat badan, meningkatkan kesehatan jantung, mencegah anemia, dan mencegah diabetes.
