Kerja Sama Merchandise dengan Evos eSport, Ini Alasan Louvre Surabaya

SKOR.id - Dalam dunia esport, Louvre dan Evos merupakan dua tim rival. Namun, tidak demikian dalam urusan basket. 

Louvre Surabaya yang tampil dalam Indonesia Basketball League (IBL), justru menggandeng Evos untuk pembuatan merchandise.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Louvre, Erick Herlangga, mengungkap alasan mengapa pihaknya menjalin kemitraan dengan rival di esport.

Erick Herlangga menuturkan, Evos merupakan tim esport dengan jumlah pendukung terbesar di Tanah Air seperti terlihat di Instagram. 

Evos memiliki pengikut 3,1 juta orang di Instagram. Sedangkan total subscriber mereka di Youtube mencapai lebih dari 1 juta orang. 

Yang membuat Erick Herlangga salut, saat Evos bertanding, 1 juta orang ikut menyaksikan secara langsung. Bukti kuatnya pendukung mereka. 

"Ibaratnya, kalau sebuah kejuaraan esport nggak ada Evos, gaungnya kurang. Inilah yang membuat kami ingin bekerja sama dengan mereka," katanya, Rabu (17/6/2020).

"Kerja sama dengan mereka tentu akan mendukung kampanye kami. Louvre Surabaya akan menyediakan merchandise buat fans yang kehabisan jersi."

Kampanye yang dimaksud Erick Herlangga adalah keinginan Lourve agar penggemar basket punya stigma positif terhadap olahraga anyar, esport.

Berdasarkan pengalamannya, tak sedikit pencinta basket yang memandang game sebagai permainan yang hanya membuang-buang waktu.

Sebagai sosok yang juga mengasuh Louvre eSport, Erick Herlangga juga ingin para pehobi game tidak melupakan olahraga konvensional.

"Kami berharap, banyak fans Evos yang turut mendukung Louvre Surabaya. 1 persen saja penggemar Evos yang mendukung Louvre, akan sangat bagus."

"Yang jelas, kerja sama dengan Evos menandakan Louvre sangat fokus mengembangkan penjualan merchandise," kata Erick Herlangga.  

"Karena sudah terbukti, saat pandemi Covid-19, (penjualan) merchandise (klub) sangat menolong keuangan kami," ia menambahkan.

Merchandise Manager Evos, Yansen Wijaya, senang bisa bekerja sama. Bersama dengan Louvre, mereka berjuang membesarkan esport di Tanah Air. 

Apalagi, meski terhitung baru dalam IBL, Louvre Surabaya memiliki banyak penggemar. Baru semusim, mereka mampu unjuk gigi.

"Kerja sama ini tiga bulan dulu, kalau sukses kami teruskan. Kami akan membuat 200 pcs t-shirt yang akan dijual," Yansen Wijaya mengungkapkan.
