SKOR.id – Leeds United bakal menjamu Manchester United dalam lanjutan Liga Inggris 2022/2023 di Stadion Saint James’ Park, malam nanti.
Suporter kedua tim tentunya sangat antusias menantikan laga yang akan berlangsung menarik ini. Termasuk suporter Leeds United yang siap meramaikan stadion.

Chant Leeds United berjudul Glory Glory Leeds United sedangkan Manchester United bertajuk Glory Glory Man United.
Nadanya pun sama, perbedaan kedua chant tersebut hanya pada lirik. Mengapa bisa demikian?
Bisa saja, karena kedua chant tersebut memiliki basis lagu yang sama, Glory Glory, sebuah lagu teras yang dinyanyikan dalam pertandingan sepak bola di Britania Raya.
Menggunakan irama The Battle Hymn of the Republic, dengan chorus "Glory, Glory, Hallelujah", lagu ini menggantikan "Hallelujah" dengan nama tim bola.
Kepopuleran lagu ini telah membuat sejumlah klub merilis versi mereka sebagai lagu resmi tim. Termasuk Leeds United dan Manchester United.
Namun, Leeds United lebih dulu menggunakannya sebagai lagu resmi klub tersebut. Glory Glory Leeds United dirilis sebagai single oleh Ronnie Hilton pada 1968.
Ronnie merilisnya untuk merayakan sukses Leeds merengkuh gelar Piala Liga Inggris dan Inter-Cities Fairs Club, yang ada dalam liriknya.
Lagu ini juga merujuk kepada mantan pemain Billy Bremner dan Don Revie. Liriknya juga menyebut-nyebut (Mike) Summerbee dan (George) Best pada bagian pembuka.
Lantaran kekosongan lagu resmi yang dirilis oleh klub, lagu ini menjadi lagu tidak resmi Leeds untuk final Piala FA 1969-70. Berikut liriknya:

Sedangkan suporter Manchester United baru menggunakannya pada 1983, saat Glory Glory Man United dirilis.
Meski dirilis belakangan, Glory Glory Man United jauh lebih populer di kalangan pencinta Liga Inggris di dunia dibanding Glory Glory Leeds United.
Glory Glory Man United merupakan single yang dirilis oleh skuat Manchester United sebelum Final Piala FA 1983.
Lagu itu ditulis oleh Frank Renshaw, yang merupakan anggota Hermits Herman pada 1970-an dan 1980-an.
Glory Glory Man United direkam di Strawberry Studios di Stockport dengan tim sepak bola dan beberapa teman Renshaw . Putra Renshaw, Lee, juga menyanyi dalam rekaman itu.
Fan Manchester United menyanyikan lagu ini sejak awal 1980-an. Pendukung Man United dengan sinis bernyanyi sendiri setelah mencetak gol, atau saat menang, melawan tim lawan.
Glory Glory Man United juga merupakan nama majalah poster klub resmi, diluncurkan pada 1994 dan diterbitkan tiap empat minggu, dengan total 13 edisi setahun.
