Di masa sekarang, hipertensi bisa menyerang siapa saja tergantung dari gaya hidup yang diterapkan.

Selain itu, kandungan natrium berlebih juga dapat mengganggu kerja ginjal sehingga sulit untuk membuang sisa cairan dari dalam tubuh yang memingkatkan risiko terjadinya tekanan darah tinggi.

Berikut ini adalah daftar makanan yang dapat memicu tekanan darah tinggi:

1. Garam

Garam merupakan senyawa yang tersusun dari 40 persen natrium dan 60 persen klorida.

Keduanya memegang peranan penting bagi kesehatan tubuh, termasuk mengatur volume dan tekanan darah Anda.

Meski penting untuk kesehatan, mengonsumsi garam terlalu banyak juga bisa menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan, termasuk hipertensi.

2. Makanan olahan, kaleng, atau kemasan

Makanan penyebab darah tinggi lainnya, yaitu makanan olahan, kaleng, atau makanan kemasan.

Pasalnya, jenis makanan tersebut mengandung natrium dalam jumlah tinggi. Di dalam 8 ons atau 227 gram makanan kemasan, terdapat sekitar 500 – 1.570 mg natrium.

3. Acar

Kandungan garam atau natrium di dalam acar sangat tinggi, sehingga makanan ini termasuk dalam penyebab darah tinggi.

4. Makanan Cepat Saji

Makanan cepat saji, seperti pizza, ayam goreng, burger, kentang goreng, dan lainnya, mengandung natrium atau garam serta lemak jahat, yaitu lemak trans dan lemak jenuh, yang tinggi sehingga bisa menjadi pemicu darah tinggi.

5. Daging merah dan kulit ayam

Meski bukan olahan, daging merah (sapi, babi, dan domba) dan kulit ayam juga merupakan makanan pantangan yang perlu dihindari oleh penderita hipertensi.
Pasalnya, kedua jenis makanan ini mengandung lemak jenuh yang tinggi, yang bisa menjadi penyebab darah tinggi.
