Bahaya Membunyikan Jari, Bisa Melemahkan Daya Cengkeram Tangan

Biasanya, beberapa orang melakukan hal tersebut untuk mengurangi ketegangan di jemari atau saat ingin melakukan pekerjaan berat. 

Membunyikan jari dengan sengaja juga biasanya tidak menimbulkan rasa sakit. Tapi, jika itu dibarengi nyeri, bisa menyebabkan radang sendi

Sebagian orang lainnya melakukan ini karena merasa gugup. Masalahnya, hal ini jadi kebiasaan yang dilakukan tanpa sadar.

Banyak penelitian yang menyebutkan bunyi-bunyi pada persendian jari disebabkan gas nitrogen atau karbondioksida di sekitar sendi.

Penelitian lainnya menyebutkan bahwa terjadinya suara ini bisa disebabkan oleh pembentukan rongga.

Butuh waktu sekitar 20 menit untuk pembentukan rongga baru sehingga sendi-sendi jari tersebut dapat membuat bunyi kembali.

Membunyikan persendian jari-jari seharusnya tidak menimbulkan rasa nyeri atau mengubah bentuk jari secara langsung.

Namun, tarikan yang cukup keras bisa melukai ligamen di sekitar sendi. Cedera akibat jari bunyi ini juga bisa disebabkan oleh masalah lain.

Efek samping membunyikan jari

Rasa nyeri yang mungkin muncul saat membunyikan jari bisa disebabkan oleh arthritis atau peradangan struktur sendi yang biasanya disertai rasa sakit, pem, kekakuan.

Namun, sebuah studi menyebutkan hal tersebut belum tentu disebabkan oleh seringnya seseorang membunyikan jari-jari.

Masalah seringnya membunyikan jari tidak berhenti pada arthritis. Melakukan aktivitas ini juga bisa melemahkan daya cengkeram jari seiring waktu.

Persendian jari yang sering dibunyikan akan menimbulkan kerusakan jaringan lunak sehingga membuatnya semakin lemah.

Sebuah laporan menyebut mereka yang sering membunyikan jari mengalami peradangan lebih tinggi dan daya cengkeram lebih lemah dibanding yang tidak.
