Alasan Otoproject Tidak Banyak Menyediakan Produk Aksesori untuk Model Mobil Lama

SKOR.id – Otoproject merupakan perusahaan pemasok aksesori mobil lokal dan jadi salah satu yang terbesar di Indonesia.

Produk-produknya dikenal memiliki beberapa seri yaitu Otorack, PlugnPlay, dan Maxmat.

Berdiri sejak 2012, Otoproject terus berinovasi dalam merancang dan memasarkan ribuan jenis aksesori mobil berstandar internasional yang fungsional dan stylish.

Salah satu hal yang jadi ciri khas Otoproject adalah, produk-produknya selalu pas untuk mobil-mobil model baru.

Hal itu dikarenakan pihak Otoproject selalu melakukan riset mendalam sebelum membuat aksesori untuk mobil.

Bahkan Fitra Eri, influencer otomotif yang juga merupakan Brand Ambassador Otoproject, menyebut Otoproject sebagai perusahaan pemasok aksesori “terniat” dalam menghasilkan produk.

Hal tersebut disampaikan Fitra kepada wartawan dalam jumpa pers di Jakarta, Selasa (10/1/2023).

“Ketika Otoproject ingin membuat aksesori untuk Toyota Raize, mereka langsung beli mobil tersebut untuk meriset secara presisi aksesori yang pas untuk Raize,” ujar Fitra.

“Hal yang sama dilakukan pula pada Toyota Veloz, ini artinya Otoproject benar-benar serius dalam membuat aksesori,” ia menambahkan.

Namun demikian, pihak Otoproject tidak banyak menyediakan aksesori untuk mobil-mobil model lama.

“Kami memang fokusnya ke mobil-mobil baru yang kami rasa akan menjadi volume maker di Indonesia," kata Martin, Founder Otoproject.

“Jadi (mobil) yang kuantitas penjualannya kami forecast dalam sebulan mencapai 1.000-an, 2.000-an, 3.000-an, bahkan 5.000-an (unit), pasti kami bikin aksesorinya,” ia menambahkan.

“Sedangkan untuk mobil-mobil lama yang aksesorinya tidak kami buat sebelumnya, pastinya kami tidak akan membuat aksesori untuk mobil-mobil itu,” kata Martin.

“Volume-nya enggak dapat untuk kami produksi, dan effort yang kami keluarkan untuk research dan development-nya itu enggak worth it,” ucapnya.

Dijelaskan Martin, Otoproject tidak menghasilkan produk-produk custom. “Kami bukan customized,” katanya.

“Jadi mungkin ada beberapa bengkel body kit, dia customized satu set, customized dua set, 10 set dijual eksklusif, nah kami tidak seperti itu.”

“Tapi kalau mobil itu sudah ada cetakannya, pasti kami akan hadirkan terus karena cetakannya sudah ada, jadi kami tinggal memproduksi saja,” Martin menuturkan.

“Jadi untuk mobil lama seperti Toyota Innova Reborn, produk aksesorinya pasti akan kami jual terus sampai permintaannya tidak ada lagi nanti.”
