Aktivitas Seks Sebelum Bertanding Olahraga Tak Timbulkan Efek Negatif, Ini Syaratnya

SKOR.id - Aktivitas seks yang tentunya sehat sebelum atlet bertanding olahraga ternyata pernah banyak diteliti.

Kemudian, Researchgate.net pada 2007 membuat penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi secara sistematis bukti ilmiah tentang dampak aktivitas seksual pra-kompetisi pada kinerja atlet.

Metode yang mereka gunakan dari pernyataan Item Pelaporan Pilihan untuk Tinjauan Sistematik dan Analisis Meta (PRISMA), PubMed, dan Scopus.

Lalu, ada ISI Web of Science, Perpustakaan Cochrane, ProQuest, serta Database Bukti Fisioterapi (PEDro).

Mereka juga memakai encarian Google Scholar yang dilakukan dengan kata kunci yang sesuai tanpa waktu dan pembatasan bahasa untuk studi mengevaluasi dampak aktivitas seksual pada kinerja atlet.

Judul dan abstrak penelitian inipun ditinjau oleh dua pengulas independen. Pertama, kualitas metodologis studi.

Kedua, risiko bias diperiksa menggunakan alat penilaian kualitas dari Program Keterampilan Penilaian Kritis (CASP).

Hasilnya, mereka menemukan bahwa sebagian besar studi tentang topik ini memiliki kualitas metodologis yang rendah.

Dari 456 artikel yang diambil dalam pencarian, hanya tujuh yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi tinjauan.

Dalam empat studi ini, aktivitas seksual 10-12 jam sebelum kompetisi tidak mengubah hasil tes fisiologis jangka pendek termasuk tes kekuatan cengkeraman upaya maksimum.

Hal itu juga tak memengaruhi fleksibilitas hamstring, waktu reaksi, kekuatan aerobik (latihan memanjat tangga), serta VO2max.

Aktivitas seks sebelum tanding dalam waktu tersebut juga tak memengaruhi daya tahan otot, denyut nadi oksigen, produk ganda, testosteron, kortisol, konsentrasi glukosa darah, dan konsentrasi mental.

Dalam satu penelitian ini, perbedaan signifikan yang lebih tinggi dilaporkan untuk detak jantung tes stres pasca-maksimal pada 5 dan 10 menit selama dua jam periode pemulihan setelah hubungan seksual.

Hanya saja, itu menghilang ketika tes stres maksimal dilakukan 10 jam setelah aktivitas seksual.

Dalam penelitian lain segera setelah hubungan seksual, 40 persen atlet lari jarak jauh mengalami kesulitan selama pemuatan intensif.

Sedangkan pada 90 persen atlet yang ditangani, aktivitas seksual 12 jam sebelum tes daya tahan tidak berpengaruh pada kinerja.

Kesimpulannya, berdasarkan studi berkualitas rendah dan dirancang secara heterogen, dapat disimpulkan bahwa berhubungan seks setidaknya 10-12 jam sebelum beraktivitas olahraga tidak mempengaruhi hasil tes fisiologis dan mungkin kinerja atlet secara negatif.

Namun, berhubungan seks segera atau beberapa jam di bawah waktu itu pada sebelum kompetisi memiliki efek psikologis atau fisiologis negatif pada kinerja atlet.
