Ternyata dibalik bau khas jengkol, makanan ini mengandung berbagai macam manfaat.

Berikut adalah 5 macam jengkol untuk kesehatan.

1. Mencegah Anemia 

Anemia bisa timbul akibat kurangnya zat besi dalam tubuh.

Jengkol memiliki kandungan zat besi yang cukup banyak dan dapat membantu mencegah anemia.

Oleh karena itu jengkol adalah salah satu cara untuk mencegah anemia.

2. Menjaga Kesehatan Ibu Hamil

Satu porsi jengkol dapat memenuhi kebutuhan fosfor ibu hamil.

Fosfor sendiri memiliki peranan penting yang dapat membentuk tulang pada ibu hamil dan janinnya.

Selain itu fosfor juga beruna untuk perbaikan jaringan sel, kontraksi otot dan irama jantung yang normal.

3. Mencegah Penyakit Maag

Sebuah percobaan oleh Global Journal of Pharmocalogy menyebutkan jika ekstrak jengkol mengandung berbagi manfaat.

Salah satunya adalah mencegah masalah lambung.

Percobaan ini dilakukan oleh tikus yang diberikan ekstrak jengkol cenderung terlindung dari gangguan pencernaan seperti maag.

4. Mencegah Penyakit Diabetes

Journal of The Science of Fod and Argiculture melakukan percobaan dengan menggunakan jengkol pada tikus.

Hasilnya menunjukkan jika jengkol mampu menurunkan kadar gula darah.

Oleh karena itu jengkol baik untuk dikonsumsi para penderita diabetes.

5. Mencegah Berbagai Penyakit Kronis

Antioksidan yang ada dalam jengkol mampu melawan radikal bebas dalam tubuh.

Beberapa jenis antioksidan dalam jengkol adalah polifenol, flavonoid, terpenoid dan alkoid.

Zat-zat antioksidan itu lah yang mampu melindungi tubuh dari radikal bebas.
