Akan tetapi, aktivitas ini menjadi hal buruk ketika dilakukan secara berlebihan atau dengan metode yang tidak tepat.

Salah satu masalah yang paling kerap timbul dari olahraga berlebihan adalah munculnya nyeri sendi.

Nyeri sendi yang muncul tentu akan mengganggu Anda dalam melakukan berbagai kegiatan berikutnya.

Namun, Anda dapat melakukan perawatan mandiri di rumah jika nyeri sendi yang dirasakan tidak terlalu parah seperti berikut ini:

1. Istirahat

Hal pertama yang harus dilakukan ketika Anda mengalami nyeri sendi setelah berolahraga adalah beristirahat.

Istirahatkan bagian sendi yang terasa sakit agar pemulihan segera terjadi dan rasa sakit yang muncul akan berkurang.

2. Mengompres dengan Es

Setelah mengistirahatkan bagian sendi yang nyeri, langkah selanjutnya yang perlu dilakukan adalah mengompresnya dengan es.

Suhu dingin pada es yang ditempelkan pada area yang sakit akan meminimalisir munculnya pembengkakan.

3. Berikan Tekanan secara Perlahan

Langkah berikutnya yang perlu dilakukan adalah memberikan tekanan pada area sendi yang terasa nyeri dengan perlahan.

Cara ini dapat mengurangi munculnya pembengkakan serta menjaga posisi sendi.

4. Menempatkan Sendi yang Sakit ke Tempat yang Lebih Tinggi

Cara mengatasi nyeri sendi setelah berolahraga adalah dengan menempatkan bagian terasa sakit di tempat yang lebih tinggi.

Salah satu cara yang paling mudah untuk dilakukan adalah menaruh bantal di bagian bawah area yang nyeri.
