Sebab, tim pelatih khawatir karena bulan Ramadan kerap membuat berat badan pemain jadi bertambah karena mengonsumsi makanan yang tidak terkontrol.

Namun, berdasarkan pantauan yang dilakukan, tim pelatih Persebaya Surabaya mengaku senang karena berat badan pemainnya masih normal.

Pelatih kepala Persebaya Surabaya, Aji Santoso pun menyebut pemainnya belum ada yang overweight meski ada beberapa pemain yang berat badannya bertambah.

"Sejauh ini tidak ada yang overweight, semua pemain masih dalam kondisi berat badan yang normal," kata Aji Santoso.

Ia pun mengapresiasi profesionalitas yang dimiliki oleh para pemainnya selama tim diliburkan. Sebab, Rendi Irwan dan kolega tetap menjaga kebugaran fisik supaya tetap prima.

Hal itu ia simpulkan setelah melihat kemampuan para pemain menjalankan strength, core exercise hingga endurance, saat mengikuti latihan daring bersama tim.

Pada sesi latihan daring terakhir, Aji Santoso menyebut daya tahan tubuh pemainnya cukup bagus karena dapat melahap menu latihan fisik yang diberikan dengan durasi 45 menit.

 

"Saya lihat para pemain dalam kondisi yang baik, meski tim sedang diliburkan," kata eks-pelatih Persela Lamongan tersebut.

Sementara itu, mengenai makanan yang dikonsumsi selama Ramadan, pelatih fisik Persebaya Surabaya, Gaselly Jun Panam, berpesan agar pemain tak makan sembarangan.

Ia pun menyarankan pemain untuk tetap konsumsi sayur dan makanan bergizi lainnya, serta mengurangi makanan berkalori tinggi.

Hal itu supaya kondisi tubuh pemain tetap bugar selama jalani ibadah puasa di bulan Ramadan.

"Konsumsi sayur-sayuran harus banyak porsinya karena itu bagus untuk menjaga imun tubuh," ujar Gaselly Jun Panam.

Ia pun meyakini disiplin konsumsi sayur jadi salah satu alasan pemain Persebaya Surabaya sejauh ini tetap miliki kondisi fisik yang bagus dan berat badannya terjaga.
