Puasa, Rahasia Peningkatan Drastis Performa Marcos Llorente

SKOR.id - Marcos Llorente merupakan satu dari empat pemain Atletico Madrid paling banyak mengumpulkan menit main musim ini. 

Gelandang Spanyol itu mampu mengantongi 1.931 menit main dari 26 pertandingan di semua ajang sepanjang 2020-2021.

Llorente juga berhasil menciptakan tujuh gol dan tujuh assist untuk Los Rojiblancos, yang merupakan pencapaian terbaik semusim dalam kariernya.

Ya, pemain 26 tahun itu mengalami peningkatan drastis terkait performa dan juga kontribusi di lapangan. 

Sejak dibeli Atletico Madrid dari Real Madrid pada musim panas 2019 seharga 35 juta pounds (sekitar Rp676 miliar), Llorente terus membuktikan kapasitasnya sebagai salah satu gelandang top Spanyol. 

Llorente pun mengungkapkan rahasia terkait peningkatan performanya tersebut dalam sebuah acara bincang-bincang dengan Carlos Perez, co-founder brand kesehatan Regenera Elite.

Llorente mengaku sejak berpuasa sebelum latihan, ia mendapatkan manfaat yang luar biasa.

"Saya merasa sangat baik dalam hal energi dan saya tidak perlu sarapan sebelum pergi berlatih," Llorente menjelaskan.

Lebih lanjut, Llorente menuturkan, "Saya bisa bergerak [dengan baik] tanpa makan apa pun."

“Faktanya, ketika saya sarapan sebelum berlatih, saya melakukannya tanpa tubuh saya memintanya.

"Sejak saya mulai mendengarkan tubuh saya, peningkatan kinerja saya pun menjadi sangat baik," tambahnya.

Llorente mengatakan bahwa dia mulai berpuasa sebelum latihan saat dia dipinjamkan ke Deportivo Alaves, enam tahun lalu.

"Saat itu, ayah saya sedang mempraktikkannya, tapi saya masih tidak terlalu percaya," katanya.

"Tidak sulit untuk melakukan perubahan ini, karena kadang saya merasa tidak ingin makan ketika bangun tidur.

"Saya juga melihat ada perbedaan dalam soal tingkat intensitas latihan bersama tim, jadi saya terus melakukannya," tambahnya.

Carlos Perez, yang juga salah satu penulis 'The Intermittent Fast', juga menambahkan manfaat dari puasa sebelum latihan.

"Ada bukti ilmiah bahwa puasa intermiten, jika disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masing-masing orang bisa meningkatkan sistem kekebalan, dan bisa memberikan dampak sangat positif pada atlet elite seperti Marcos," katanya.
