UEFA baru saja melakukan voting untuk memilih lagu yang akan diputarkan di partai final Euro 2020.
Pertandingan final Euro 2020 yang mempertemukan antara Italia melawan Inggris sendiri akan digelar di Stadion Wembley, London, pada Senin (12/7/2021) dini hari WIB.

Ada empat lagu yang dinominasikan untuk di-voting melalui Twitter. Salah satu nominasi dari lagu tersebut adalah lagu dari boygroup yang sedang fenomenal, BTS.
BTS dengan lagu terbarunya "Butter" masuk ke dalam nominasi bersama penyanyi-penyanyi lain, seperti Louis Tomlinson, Billie Eilish, sampai Usher.
Usai voting ditutup, BTS akhirnya mendapatkan suara paling tinggi dibanding yang lainnya.
Boygroup asal Korea Selatan itu unggul 47 persen dibandingkan pesaing terdekatnya, yaitu Louis Tomlinson dengan 44 persen.

Hasil voting tersebut lantas menuai kontroversi karena banyak yang menganggap lagu tersebut tak cocok dengan semangat sepak bola.
Pada dasarnya lagu ini memang tak ada kaitannya dengan sepak bola.
Hal itu diakui oleh salah satu member BTS, Park Jimin.
"Butter adalah lagu pengakuan yang lucu, mengatakan bahwa aku ingin melelehkanmu dengan lembut seperti mentega. Kami ingin menangkap berbagai jenis pesona, seperti mentega, imut, dan karismatik," ungkap Jimin ketika konferensi pers perilisan lagu tersebut.
