Liga Inggris musim 2021-2022 telah dimulai sejak hari Sabtu (14/8/2021) dini hari WIB.

Kompetisi musim ini dibuka dengan laga antara Brentford melawan Arsenal.

Secara mengejutkan, Arsenal takluk dari tim promosi Brentford dengan skor 2-0.

Setelah laga Arsenal, ada tujuh laga yang digelar pada malam harinya.

Dimulai dengan pesta gol yang dilakukan Manchester United ketika mengalahkan Leeds United.

Manchester United berhasil menang dengan skor 5-1 atas Leeds United.

Gelandang Man United, Bruno Fernandes, menjadi bintang setelah mencetak hattrick.

Kemenangan Man United kemudian disusul oleh Chelsea, Watford, Leicester City, Everton, dan Brighton.

Chelsea berhasil mengalahkan Crystal Palace dengan skor telak 3-0.

Kemudian laga hari Sabtu ditutup dengan pertandingan antara Liverpool melawan Norwich.

Sama seperti Chelsea, Liverpool berhasil menang dengan skor 3-0.

Hasil-hasil tersebut membuat Manchester United untuk sementara berada di puncak klasemen.

Kemudian disusul Chelsea dan Liverpool di urutan kedua dan ketiga.
