Skipping, Olahraga Simpel di Tengah Pandemi Covid-19

Pecinta olahraga banyak yang merasa tidak nyaman jika bepergian ke tempat gym untuk membakar kalori karena dihantui oleh penyebaran Covid-19.

Tak perlu khawatir, di masa pandemi melakukan olahraga Skipping mungkin bisa jadi solusi untuk mendapatkan tubuh yang sehat dan bugar tanpa harus keluar rumah.

Lompat tali atau yang dikenal dengan skipping menjadi salah satu jenis olahraga ringan yang bisa dilakukan dengan mudah dan langsung mendapatkan manfaatnya.

Jenis olahraga yang masuk ke dalam kelompok plyometric ini menjadi salah satu kagiatan yang dapat meningkatkan kekuatan tubuh.

Kabarnya, skipping ini juga dapat membakar lebih banyak kalori ketimbang melakukan olahraga joging.

Lompat tali dapat membakar 10 hingga 20 kalori per menit. Artinya skipping adalah olahraga yang efektif jika ingin menurunkan berat badan dan membunuh kalori di rumah saja.

Jumlah pembakaran kalori ini tiga kali lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan joging, dan bahkan tidak perlu keluar rumah.

Hanya 10 menit lompat tali sehari di rumah sudah cukup untuk meningkatkan daya tahan kardiovaskular, kesehatan jantung, kepadatan tulang, dan kebugaran secara keseluruhan.

Di kawasan ASEAN, olahraga Skipping sangat populer di Filipina sepanjang pandemi Covid-19.

Banyak selebriti Filipina seperti Kim Chiu, Lovi Poe, dan Maja Salvador mengikuti tren untuk rutin melakukan lompat tali.

Salah satu aktris yang paling berpengaruh dalam mempromosikan lompat tali adalah Ellen Adarna, yang kini telah menjadi inspirasi kebugaran banyak orang Filipina dengan cara skipping.

Hal menarik lainnya, skipping juga baik untuk kesehatan mental. Jika dilakukan secara teratur dapat menurunkan tingkat stres, kecemasan, dan depresi.

Lompat tali juga meningkatkan sirkulasi darah ke otak dan meningkatkan fungsi kognitif.
